SAKAMOTO DAYS Live-Action Film Main Poster Revealed Before April 29 Premiere

Based on the manga by Yuto Suzuki.

The official poster for the live-action film adaptation of SAKAMOTO DAYS by Yuto Suzuki has been revealed. The visual features the main character, Taro Sakamoto, alongside 12 other key characters gathered together.

The film is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on April 29, 2026, and nationwide IMAX screenings have also been confirmed. Posters using this new visual will begin appearing sequentially in movie theaters across Japan starting March 13.

The series has been running in Weekly Shonen Jump since November 2020. Its anime adaptation aired its first cour from January to March 2025, followed by the second cour from July to September 2025 on Netflix.

MANGAPlus describes the story as follows:

Taro Sakamoto was the ultimate assassin, feared by villains and admired by hitmen. But one day…he fell in love! Retirement, marriage, fatherhood and then… Sakamoto gained weight! The chubby guy who runs the neighborhood? store is actually a former legendary hitman! Can he protect his family from danger? Get ready to experience a new kind of action comedy series!
