Matsurika Kanriden Gets TV Anime Adaptation

Historical drama light novel series.

Rinne Ishida’s novel “Matsurika Kanriden” is officially getting a TV anime adaptation. Alongside the announcement, a special promotional video featuring illustrations from the original novel has been released.

The light novel series Matsurika Kanriden has been published under Kadokawa’s B’s-LOG Bunko imprint since July 2017, with 17 volumes released so far. A manga adaptation by Waka Takase has been running in Monthly Princess magazine since August 2018.

The story centers on a commoner with an exceptional memory who swiftly rises through the ranks of the Inner Palace after a fateful romantic encounter with the Emperor.
