The anime Aria the Scarlet Ammo first aired in Japan on April 15, 2011. It is based on the light novel series created by Chugaku Akamatsu and illustrated by Kobuichi.
To celebrate the anime’s 15th anniversary, Kadokawa Animation has announced that a new short anime project is in production. However, no release date has been revealed yet.
The original light novel series began in August 2008 under Media Factory’s MF Bunko J label. So far, 45 volumes have been published in Japan, including one spin-off, with more than nine million copies printed.
The first anime season, produced by J.C.STAFF, aired for 12 episodes from April to July 2011. A second season, Aria the Scarlet Ammo AA, produced by Doga Kobo, aired for 12 episodes from October to December 2015.

Aria is a volatile girl who’s top dog in assault at a school for young mercenaries. When she discovers her classmate Kinji’s an ace, she strong-arms him into being her partner, but she isn’t the only femme fatale who wants a taste of his combat skills. His secret? He’s only a hotshot when he’s turned on! Aria gets Kinji for one mission, but he’ll end up with more than one finger on his trigger!
