INTERVIEW: Natsuki Hanae Talks about His Feelings in Demon Slayer as Tanjiro!

Giyu and Rengoku are his favorites.

In a recent interview, Natsuki Hanae, the voice actor behind Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, shared his thoughts and emotions about the series as it progresses towards the Infinity Castle arc.

Hanae, known for his roles as Tanjiro in Demon Slayer, Okarun in DAN DA DAN, Ken Kaneki in Tokyo Ghoul, and Kousei Arima in Your Lie in April, reflected on his journey voicing Tanjiro and how the character has evolved over the past few seasons.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle Arc will be adapting into anime film Trilogy! The announcement was made after the Hashira Training arc finished airing in Japan, with the reveal of a short teaser video and teaser visual.

Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced their acquisition of the trilogy of movies for a global theatrical release, excluding certain Asian territories and Japan. Additional details such as release date, are yet to be revealed.

Crunchyroll currently streams the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime, with the final episode of the Hashira Training arc airing today on the platform. Crunchyroll describes the series:

It is the Taisho Period in Japan.

Tanjiro, a kindhearted boy who sells charcoal for a living, finds his family slaughtered by a demon. To make matters worse, his younger sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been transformed into a demon herself.

Though devastated by this grim reality, Tanjiro resolves to become a “demon slayer” so that he can turn his sister back into a human, and kill the demon that massacred his family.
