Crunchyroll Is Coming to BMW, MINI and Other Connected Vehicles

Anime on the road.

Crunchyroll has announced a strategic partnership with Appning by FORVIA, a platform for distributing automotive applications, bringing its anime streaming service directly to connected vehicles.

The partnership will initially launch with BMW and MINI vehicles before expanding across the BMW Group and more than 40 other automotive brands.

Through Appning, Crunchyroll will become available in connected cars across Asia, Australia, Europe, India, Latin America, and North America. The integration will give passengers access to Crunchyroll’s extensive catalog of more than 50,000 episodes and films.

In BMW vehicles, Appning will support the app store and digital ecosystem, while TiVo will enhance content discovery by helping passengers explore a curated selection of Crunchyroll programs.

The service is expected to become available worldwide over the coming year, giving anime fans another way to enjoy their favorite series while traveling.
