Atsushi Nishikori’s GROTESQQQUE Original Anime Film Unveils First Trailer, Key Visual, and Release Date

Atsushi Nishikori‘s original animated anthology film GROTESQQQUE, produced by CloverWorks, is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on November 6. Alongside the release date announcement, a brand-new trailer and key visual have also been unveiled.

Described as a “full-throttle entertainment” project, GROTESQQQUE is composed of three standalone stories: ÆLIENS, 4649GIRL, and NOCTURN: EN CETTE NUIT GROTESQUE. The newly released trailer and key visual showcase characters from all three segments, each featuring its own unique world, atmosphere, and setting.

It was also revealed that METALVERSE will perform the film’s opening theme song, “Shoot Shoot Shoot”.

Additionally, advance MoviTicket cards featuring exclusive artwork inspired by each of the three stories will go on sale in Japan starting July 10.

The film is structured as an anthology composed of three distinct stories: ÆLIENS, in which an alien girl teams up with a public servant at the Space Bureau in search of “friends”. 4649GIRL, a frenetic battle royale where girls compete to become the winner of a game called “4649GIRL”; and NOCTURN: EN CETTE NUIT GROTESQUE, which follows three girls surviving in a devastated world after being infected through a vampire bite.
