Cygames has canceled the “Uma Musume: Pretty Derby” concerts scheduled for Oct. 22-23 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles after organizers were unable to secure the U.S. visas needed to hold the performances.
The cancellation follows an earlier warning that visa approvals remained pending despite more than six months of work with U.S. lawyers and promoters. Organizers said they explored every available option before determining the concerts could not proceed.
In a statement posted to the franchise’s official English-language X account, organizers apologized to fans for the disruption and the short notice.

“We were unable to obtain the necessary visas for entry into the US,” the statement said.
Organizers said they would refund tickets for both in-person attendance and livestream viewing. The cancellation announcement also said they were considering additional measures for fans who had planned to attend in person.
The performances were part of the franchise’s seventh live event world tour, “The Stage,” which opened in Tokyo in June. The announced itinerary also includes London, Seoul and Yokohama, marking the franchise’s first international concert tour.

The Los Angeles lineup included Machico, the voice of Tokai Teio; Tomoyo Takayanagi, who voices Oguri Cap; and Hinaki Yano, the voice of Kitasan Black.
“Uma Musume: Pretty Derby” follows horse girls who compete as runners and perform as idols. The franchise spans games, anime and live music events.
