The Japan Anniversary Association has officially registered September 9 as “Attack on Titan Day”. A special commemorative visual has also been released.
Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan began serialization in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine on September 9, 2009. The new anniversary was created to celebrate the series’ serialization anniversary.
The commemorative visual is based on the date September 9 and the Nine Titans from the series. The “Attack on Titan Day” logo also features the Final Titan in the lower right corner.

Several special events will take place on September 9. Magazine Pocket will offer Attack on Titan Episode 99 for free for 99 hours, starting at midnight. Special merchandise celebrating “Attack on Titan Day” will also be available at the Magazine Shop.
The merchandise will feature newly drawn illustrations by Hajime Isayama of Eren, Levi, and Erwin wearing formal outfits.
A special livestream will also be held on the night of September 9 to celebrate the new anniversary. Yuki Kaji (Eren Yeager), Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman), and Hiro Shimono (Connie Springer) are scheduled to appear and share new information about Attack on Titan.
