Ranma 1/2 Season 3 Announced for October Release

First PV and visual has been released.

The third season of Ranma 1/2, based on the manga by Rumiko Takahashi, is set to air nationwide on Nippon Television starting this October. The series will also be streamed exclusively on Netflix. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual and the first promotional video for the new season have been revealed.

The production staff has also been confirmed: Konosuke Uda, who worked on the previous seasons, returns as director, while animation production will once again be handled by MAPPA.

Netflix describes the story as follows:

Ranma Saotome and Akane Tendo’s parents have arranged for them to get married. However, there’s a problem: whenever Ranma is splashed with cold water, he turns into a girl! The stage is set for a slapstick martial arts rom-com filled with quirky characters!
