Omae, Tanuki ni Naranee ka? Gets TV Anime Adaptation Directed by Jun Kamiya

Nippon Animation is in charge of animation production.

Tomo Nagawa‘s “Omae, Tanuki ni Naranee ka?” is being adapted into a TV anime. The series will be directed by Jun Kamiya, with animation production handled by Nippon Animation.

Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual and a special promotional video were also released, accompanied by congratulatory illustrations for Nagawa.

The manga is currently serialized on the web platform Comic POOL (Ichijinsha × pixiv), and the latest collected volume (Volume 10) is scheduled for release on May 25.

The story follows shapeshifting tanuki who try to turn humans into fellow tanuki to increase their mountain population. However, their interactions gradually lead humans to reflect on their lives and become emotionally open.
