The anime adaptation of Forbidden Shibukawa‘s Snack Basue manga is set to debut on January 12, with a promotional video already released. The opening theme, Ura Omote Aquarium, is performed by otonari feat. RIRIKO. Additional cast members were revealed, and the anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on January 12.

The main cast includes Rie Takahashi as Akemi, Kimiko Saitō as Basue, Yōhei Azakami as Yamada, Fukushi Ochiai as Tatsu-nii, Ryōta Iwasaki as Morita, and Jun Fukushima as Kazama. Minoru Ashina is directing the anime at Studio Puyukai, also handling scriptwriting and supervision. The gag comedy manga revolves around a bar in Sapporo’s North 24th neighborhood, showcasing the eccentric lives of the bar’s staff and customers. The manga began serialization in 2017 in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine.
