Shabake Anime Premieres this October, First Visual, Trailer & Cast Revealed

Based on the novel by Megumi Hatanaka.

The TV anime Shabake is set to premiere in Japan this October. Alongside the announcement, the first key visual, teaser trailer, and cast details have been revealed. The opening theme has been announced as “Inochi no Parade” by Kujira. A preview of the song can be heard in the latest trailer.

Shabake follows the story of Ichitaro, the heir to Nagasakiya, one of the largest commercial establishments in Nihonbashi. Born frail and unable to venture outside, Ichitaro is cherished by spirits like Sasuke, an inugami, and Jinkichi, a hakutaku, who watch over him. One evening, Ichitaro secretly leaves his home and witnesses a murder, setting him on a quest to uncover the culprit with the help of his loyal spirit companions.
