My Hero Academia Reached 100 Million Copies in Circulation Worldwide!

Kohei Horikoshi‘s “My Hero Academia” has surpassed 100 million copies worldwide with the latest volumes 40 released on April 4. A new illustration by Horikoshi has been published.

My Hero Academia began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) in July 2014 and will celebrate its 10th anniversary this July. From April 4th, the release date of volume 40, a newspaper advertisement featuring over 90 characters appeared in the morning edition of the Yomiuri Shimbun (Japanese newspaper), with the headline “The series has surpassed 100 million copies in circulation worldwide!”

In addition, on the Jump Channel, a PV was released that imagined the history from the origin of the work and readers to the release of 40 volumes.
