The main cast of the live-action movie “Cells at Work“, written by Akane Shimizu, has been announced. A special teaser that captures the movie’s perspective has also been released. The live-action is set to premiere in Japan in December.
Mei Nagano plays the role of the main character’s Red Blood Cell, and Takeru Satō plays the role of White Blood Cell.

The original manga’s first television anime adaptation debuted in July 2018, followed by the second season’s premiere in January 2021. Akane Shimizu debuted the original Cells at Work! manga in the March 2015 issue of Kodansha‘s Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine and concluded it in January 2021.
