ALL YOU NEED IS KILL Anime Features Debut Theme Song by AKASAKI

Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s award-winning sci-fi light novel.

The theme song for the anime ALL YOU NEED IS KILL has been announced as “Tsuretette,” performed by university student and singer-songwriter AKASAKI. This marks AKASAKI’s debut in providing a theme song for an anime. “Tsuretette” was written specifically to reflect the story of the anime.

ALL YOU NEED IS KILL” is an anime adaptation by STUDIO4°C based on Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s light novel All You Need Is Kill. While the story was previously adapted into the 2014 Hollywood live-action film Edge of Tomorrow starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. Unlike the original novel and the movie, the anime presents a reimagined narrative from a different perspective. A comic adaptation by Ryosuke Takeuchi and Ken Obata was serialized in Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha).

INTRODUCTION:
After an unidentified plant from outer space invasion, Rita finds herself trapped in a time loop, forced to relive the same day over and over again. With each loop, she learns. She fights. Her memories and experiences sharpen her skills, turning her into a formidable warrior. Yet, the endless cycle of death and solitude begins to wear her down. Then, she meets Keiji. “I’ve been repeating this day too,” he says. Two lost souls, trapped in an endless war. Could their meeting change fate?
