As part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the anime My Hero Academia, based on the work of Kohei Horikoshi, a special promotional video titled “PLUS ULTRA MOVIE “You can be a Hero”” has been released.
The anime adaptation of My Hero Academia marked its 10th anniversary on April 3rd. Since June 16, 2018—when episode 49 of season 3, featuring the intense confrontation between All Might and All For One, first aired—the date has been commemorated as “Hero Day”. Since then, annual projects and special broadcasts have been organized to celebrate the franchise.
The concept of the “PLUS ULTRA MOVIE “You can be a Hero”” released on this year’s Hero Day, centers on the journey of Izuku Midoriya (Deku). His path to becoming the “greatest hero” begins when he meets All Might, the Symbol of Peace, during his childhood.
Inspired by All Might’s words, “You can be a hero”, the video is set to the iconic soundtrack “You Say Run”. The production also brought together key staff members, including Yoshihiko Umakoshi, and features newly animated scenes created specifically for this project.
