All 12 episodes will be re-edited for the big screen.

The anime film MILKY☆SUBWAY: The Galactic Limited Express is officially scheduled for release in Japan on February 6, 2026. The movie’s full title has been confirmed as MILKY☆SUBWAY: The Galactic Limited Express – Local Train to the Theater, accompanied by the debut of a special teaser video.

This theatrical edition reimagines the anime series that aired and streamed starting in July, while also adding brand-new scenes.

Official Introduction:

Arrested for reckless space driving, super human Chiharu and cyborg Makina are sentenced to clean the Milky☆Subway—an old interplanetary train.
Easy enough, right? Wrong. When the train suddenly takes off, they are thrown into a high-speed space-train spectacle packed with chaos, no plans, and zero strategy.
Just pure momentum!
