IRON WOK JAN! Anime Premieres on July 5

Ei Aoki directs the series at TROYCA.

The TV anime IRON WOK JAN! is set to premiere on July 5. New characters and their cast members have been revealed, along with the main promotional video and the opening theme song. The opening theme is titled “Kaen” and is performed by GNJB.

The main PV also features voice performances from the newly announced cast. This release is the “Front Version” of the PV, with a “Back Version” scheduled to be released at a later date.

IRON WOK JAN!” is “Cooking is a game!”, a Chinese food manga known for its intense and unconventional cooking battles. The story follows a young chef with a strong personal creed who faces many unique and rival chefs.

The manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion (Akita Shoten) from 1995 to 2000. In 2025, the series celebrates its 30th anniversary. The original series is now available in a 13-volume digital edition. Sequels and spin-off have also been published, including Iron Wok Jan! R: The Summit Operations and Iron Wok Jan! 2nd. The total circulation of the franchise has exceeded 10 million copies.
