A TV anime adaptation of Go with the Clouds, North-by-Northwest by Aki Irie has been officially announced. To celebrate the news, Irie shared a special illustration. Details regarding the anime’s release date and cast will be revealed at a later time.
The manga originally began serialization in Harta in March 2016 before moving to Aokishi, both published by KADOKAWA. In February 2025, it was announced that the series would leave the magazine as the author transitions to a new phase of activity. Going forward, the manga will be published by Yukiwariso, a new publishing company founded by manga artist Kaoru Mori.
The series currently has seven collected volumes. In English, it is published by Vertical, an imprint of Kodansha USA, which describes the story as follows:
The story takes place in Iceland, at land’s end, 64°N.
Kei Miyama is a 17-year-old with three secrets: he can talk to cars, he can’t handle pretty girls, and he works as a private investigator. One case has him searching for a beloved dog, another involves reuniting a woman with a man she fell for at first sight. And then comes a case that strikes close to home—searching for his own little brother. Tag along as this globe-spanning journey unfolds…
