Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway Anime Film Expands with 4DX and SCREENX

The movie hits 7.98 billion yen in 17 days!

The theatrical film Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway, based on the work of Gosho Aoyama, is currently showing in cinemas and continues to perform strongly at the box office. Within just 17 days of release, the film has drawn 5.33 million viewers and surpassed 7.98 billion yen in revenue.

Starting May 1, a special “sub-audio premium talk screening” will be available via the HELLO! MOVIE app. This version features commentary from the main cast and director Takahiro Hasui, sharing behind-the-scenes stories from the dubbing process, as well as insights into the film’s sound design and visual details.

On May 7, a “Limit Break Support Screening” will be held for the first time in eight theaters across six prefectures in Japan. Another special cheering screening is scheduled for May 22, featuring synchronized automatic penlight effects. During this screening, penlights react in real time to dialogue, music, sound effects, and character colors. For example, they flash intensely during explosion scenes and shift colors during Chihaya Hagiwara’s motorcycle chase to match the bike’s tail lights.

Additionally, SCREENX and ULTRA 4DX screenings will begin on May 8. After their introduction to the Detective Conan film series last year, these formats return with enhanced scale and immersion. Key action scenes—such as the high-speed motorcycle chase involving Chihaya Hagiwara and a mysterious black bike, as well as explosive sequences—are expanded across a three-screen setup for a more dynamic viewing experience.
