Takaya Kamikawa has joined the cast of the original TV anime Inherit the Winds. The anime has also revealed its opening and ending theme songs, marking the first collaboration between Quruli and Hitsujibungaku.
As previewed in the newly released trailer for the theatrical advance version, “Namida no Kawa” by Hitsujibungaku and Quruli will be used as the theme song for the theatrical version and as the anime’s ending theme.
The two artists will also perform “Kaze wo Tsugu Mono”, which will serve as the anime’s opening theme song.
The theatrical advance version will be screened for two weeks starting November 13, 2026. The TV anime will then begin airing in January 2027.

The anime is set in Kyoto during the Bakumatsu era. A soldier who has lost his memory is taken under the wing of the renowned Shinsengumi member Sōji Okita. Okita gives him a new identity, naming him Junsuke Tachikawa. Amidst the Mibu soldiers, Junsuke begins a new chapter in his life.
