Expelled from Paradise: Resonance Anime Film Releases Theatrical Trailer and New Character Visual

Seiji Mizushima directs the anime film at Toei Animation.

Angela Balzac, the protagonist of the previous film, will return in the upcoming animated film Expelled from Paradise: Resonance. Along with the theatrical trailer, comments from Rie Kugimiya, who voices Angela Balzac, have also been released on YouTube.

The sequel is scheduled to premiere in Japan on November 13.

The theatrical trailer was shown exclusively in theaters screening both Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Walpurgisnacht Rising- and Expelled from Paradise: Resonance, which began screening on August 28.

New character visuals drawn by Toei Animation have also been revealed. Five visuals will be released in total. The first features the protagonist Gabriel standing with his arms crossed. Character visuals for the other four members will be released one by one starting tomorrow.

In the 2014 film (Expelled From Paradise), Angela Balzac, an agent residing in a virtual reality world aboard a space station, takes on an organic body to investigate a hacker operating on the desolate Earth. Teaming up with a man named Dingo, she pursues the enigmatic “Frontier Setter” while discovering the value of living in a physical form.
