Rematch Announces In-Game Collaboration With Blue Lock

Sloclap’s soccer game will add characters inspired by Yoichi Isagi, Meguru Bachira, Seishiro Nagi and Rin Itoshi.

Sloclap announced Thursday that its multiplayer soccer game “Rematch” will collaborate with the popular anime and manga series “Blue Lock,” with the crossover set to launch Sept. 24.

The collaboration was revealed during Sony’s State of Play presentation on Sept. 3 alongside a brief teaser showing several of the series’ most recognizable characters. Yoichi Isagi, Meguru Bachira, Seishiro Nagi and Rin Itoshi were among the characters featured in the footage.

Additional details about the crossover, including its full lineup of in-game content, have not yet been announced.
Pierre Tarno, creative director of “Rematch,” said requests for a “Blue Lock” crossover began almost immediately after the game was first revealed. He added that members of the development team are fans of the series and were excited to bring the two properties together.

The partnership is a natural fit for two franchises centered around fast-paced, highly competitive soccer. However, while “Blue Lock” often emphasizes individual ambition and becoming the world’s greatest striker, teamwork remains an essential part of succeeding in “Rematch.”
Released in June 2025, “Rematch” is a third-person multiplayer soccer game developed by Paris-based studio Sloclap. Players directly control a single athlete during 3v3, 4v4 or 5v5 matches in stylized digital arenas.

Unlike traditional soccer simulations, “Rematch” removes fouls and offsides while emphasizing quick reactions, positioning and cooperation between teammates.

The game is available on PC, PlayStation and Xbox and is also included with Xbox Game Pass. Sloclap says “Rematch” has reached more than 6 million unique players since its launch. Sloclap is an independent French developer best known for the martial arts action games “Absolver” and “Sifu.” The studio has more than 100 developers and has continued its focus on third-person action gameplay with “Rematch.”

The “Blue Lock” collaboration will arrive in “Rematch” on Sept. 24, with more information about the crossover expected ahead of its release.
