Production of a sequel to the TV anime NIPPON SANGOKU: The Three Nations of the Crimson Sun, based on the original work by Ikka Matsuki, has officially been announced. A special video confirming the sequel was also released.
The anime is currently streaming on Prime Video and is available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The original manga is serialized on Shogakukan’s Manga One app and the Ura Sunday website. The series has surpassed 700,000 copies in cumulative circulation.
Twin Engine describes the anime as follows:
In a near-future Japan where civilization has regressed due to nuclear war, natural disasters, and corrupt governance. The nation fractures into three, plunging into a new Three Kingdoms era as each vies for supremacy. Aoteru Misumi, once an obscure local bureaucrat, sets his sights on the reunification of Japan.
