Anime director Yuji Yanase has passed away on August 22. The news was announced on the official website of The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for the Throne, the TV anime he was directing and which is currently airing.
The production team shared a message thanking Yanase for his dedication and leadership throughout the series and expressed their deepest condolences.
Yanase directed several anime, including By the Grace of the Gods, Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra: World Conquest Starts with the Civilization of Ruin, I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History, The World’s Strongest Rearguard, If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord, and In Another World With My Smartphone. He also worked as a character designer on several projects.
