BAKI GAIDEN: KAIOH RETSU Doesn’t Mind Getting Isekai’d Gets TV Anime

Animation production will be handled by TMS Entertainment.

BAKI GAIDEN: KAIOH RETSU Doesn’t Mind Getting Isekai’d, the spinoff manga written by Sai Ihara and illustrated by Eiji Mutsui, has officially been confirmed to receive a TV anime adaptation. A teaser video has also been released.

TMS Entertainment will handle the animation production, continuing its work on the Baki franchise, including Baki, Baki Hanma, and Baki-Dou.

The manga has been serialized in Akita Shoten‘s Monthly Shonen Champion since November 2020. It currently has 16 collected volumes released in Japan.

The story follows Retsu Kaioh, a powerful Chinese martial arts master and one of the most popular characters in the Baki series. In Baki-Dou, Retsu dies after fighting the legendary swordsman Musashi Miyamoto.

However, BAKI GAIDEN: KAIOH RETSU Doesn’t Mind Getting Isekai’d takes a different turn. After his death, Retsu is reincarnated in another world where magic exists. He then begins a new journey filled with powerful enemies and battles.
