Japanese rock band BURNOUT SYNDROMES is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special cover album dedicated to the HAIKYU!! anime series.
The band made its debut with “FLY HIGH!!”, the opening theme for HAIKYU!!, and later performed “Hikari are” and “PHOENIX”. Their music became closely linked to some of the anime’s most memorable moments.
The new album features BURNOUT SYNDROMES’ covers of HAIKYU!! theme songs originally performed by artists including SPYAIR, NICO Touches the Walls, Sukima Switch, tacica, CHiCO with HoneyWorks, and SUPER BEAVER.
The release also includes special HAIKYU!! artwork. In addition, a new JUMP MV for “PHOENIX”, featuring illustrations from the HAIKYU!! manga, premiered on August 19 at 7:00 PM JST.

About BURNOUT SYNDROMES:
BURNOUT SYNDROMES is a Japanese rock trio hailing from Osaka, renowned for their poetic songwriting and distinctive sound rooted in the aesthetics of the Japanese language. Since forming, BURNOUT SYNDROMES has pushed the limits of what a three-piece setup is capable of, combining intricate arrangements with emotionally resonant lyrics that reaches a global audience.
The group gained widespread recognition in 2016 with debut single “FLY HIGH!!,” which was selected as the opening theme for Haikyu!! Season 2. It marked the beginning of a strong connection between BURNOUT SYNDROMES and the anime world. They went on to perform multiple theme songs for the sports anime series, including “hikariare” and “PHOENIX,” establishing themselves as the defining musical presence for the franchise.
Beyond Haikyu!!, their music has been featured in major anime titles such as Gintama and Dr. STONE, further expanding their international reach.
In addition to their core band activities, BURNOUT SYNDROMES have explored a variety of creative side projects, including producing and performing music as the virtual artist HXEROS SYNDROMES for the anime Super HxEros, showcasing their versatility and eagerness to experiment.
Having celebrated over 20 years together in 2025, they are currently celebrating their major debut 10th anniversary year. BURNOUT SYNDROMES continue to evolve, which has been their mission statement from day one, and they aren’t slowing down anytime soon!
