Riho Tsuda has been cast as Josemaru in the upcoming short anime Josemaru. A teaser visual and the second promotional video have also been released.
The TV anime Josemaru is scheduled to premiere in January 2027, with two episodes airing back-to-back.

The series is based on the character Josemaru, created by Inochiya, and is part of TV Asahi’s first short anime brand, PicoAni. The main story will use 2D animation, while the opening and ending sequences will feature stop-motion animation.
Josemaru is a plush toy dog with the concept of “a little child living in the real world”. Since he is a newborn puppy, he struggles with speaking and communicates using his own unique three-word phrases.
