New episode artwork from the upcoming anime series THE ONE PIECE, based on Eiichiro Oda’s ONE PIECE, has been officially revealed for Episode 1. It was also announced that the first-ever global teaser trailer will be released today, June 24 at 10 PM (Japan time).
The Episode 1 artwork features the protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, setting out to sea. It visually reflects the iconic title of the manga’s very first chapter, “ROMANCE DAWN” symbolizing the beginning of his journey. In total, up to seven pieces of episode artwork are planned for the series.
THE ONE PIECE is a new anime adaptation that reimagines the early “East Blue” arc of ONE PIECE, starting from the very beginning of Luffy’s story. The series is being produced by WIT STUDIO.
The anime is set to launch worldwide on Netflix in February 2027.

Now 26 years since the series’ TV premiere, “ONE PIECE” has taken its place as part of mainstream pop culture, attracting fans of all ages. Today, the franchise encompasses 15 feature films, numerous video games, a trading card game and a constantly growing catalog of licensed apparel, footwear, accessories, toys, games, sporting goods, stationary, gifts, novelties, household goods, books, food & beverage, and location-based entertainment.
ONE PIECE manga series has achieved a cumulative worldwide circulation of over 510 million copies, while its TV anime has been on air since 1999. The 2022 theatrical release, ONE PIECE FILM RED, became a cultural phenomenon, grossing over 20.34 billion yen at the Japanese box office.
