The Cat and the Dragon TV Anime Reveals Key Visual, Second PV, and New Cast Members

Crunchyroll will stream the series.

The key visual for the upcoming TV anime The Cat and the Dragon has been unveiled, along with its second promotional video. The announcement also revealed additional cast members, including Hinata Tadokoro, Yoji Ueda, Saho Shirasu, Natsuki Hanae, and Tomohisa Aso.

It was further confirmed that the opening theme song will be “Nekobi” performed by Suis from Yorushika, while the ending theme, “Tadaima no Basho” by shallm, is also featured in the second PV.

The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting on July 4 and will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll. Early weekly streaming in Japan begins on June 27.

The Cat and the Dragon is a fantasy tale that delves into the mysterious bond between a dragon, a cat, and a human raised by a cat. Written by Amara and illustrated by Mai Okuma, the novel is published by Takarajimasha, alongside a comic adaptation by Izumi Sasaki. Both the novel and its comic version are currently in development, with total circulation exceeding 1.2 million copies.
