The TV anime adaptations of Witch Hat Atelier, based on the manga by Kamome Shirahama, and Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke have announced a special collaboration.
A newly released collaboration visual brings together the protagonists of both series, Coco and Rozemyne, who are shown exchanging their iconic possessions—the Magic Circle Notebook and a book—while sharing delighted expressions. Standing behind them, Qifrey and Ferdinand watch over the pair with warm smiles.
To celebrate the crossover, a special conversation between Kamome Shirahama and Miya Kazuki, the original author of Ascendance of a Bookworm, has been published on the official websites of both anime. Longtime admirers of each other’s work, the two creators discuss their impressions of the anime adaptations, the appeal of their characters, and their perspectives on bringing their stories to the screen.
The collaboration is set to continue with additional projects and special initiatives planned in the coming months.

Avid bookworm and college student Motosu Urano ends up dying in an unforeseen accident. This came right after the news that she would finally be able to work as a librarian like she had always dreamed of. When she regained consciousness, she was reborn as Main, the daughter of a poor soldier. She was in the town of Ehrenfest, which had a harsh class system. But as long as she had books, she didn’t really need anything else. However, books were scarce and belonged only to the nobles. But that doesn’t stop her, so she makes a decision… “If there aren’t any books, I’ll just create some.”
