During the “Annecy Animation Showcase” at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, held from May 15 to 17, director Hirao and producer Ryoichiro Matsuo from CLAP shared new insights into the project. The duo explained that the anime blends “cooking” and “science fiction” to explore the concept of “value” in modern society. They also revealed that the Latin-inspired term “Restrale”, meaning “healing” or “recovery”, will play a central role in the story.
