The latest theatrical film in the Detective Conan franchise, Detective Conan: Fallen Angel of the Highway by Gosho Aoyama, has surpassed 7.4 million admissions and earned over 10.88 billion yen at the Japanese box office within 27 days, as of May 6. To celebrate the milestone, a newly illustrated artwork by Aoyama has been revealed.

Starting May 8, moviegoers who watch Fallen Angel of the Highway will also receive special theater-exclusive digital illustrations. The bonus includes commemorative visuals released on the day of viewing as well as a new illustration drawn by Aoyama celebrating the film surpassing 10 billion yen, personalized with the viewer’s name. Additionally, a new theme song promotional video featuring fresh footage and scenes from the movie has been released for “THE LAST DANCE WITH YOU” by MISIA.

Gosho Aoyama‘s Detective Conan manga, known as Case Closed in English by Viz Media, debuted in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday in 1994. As of October 2024, the series spans 106 tankōbon volumes. The anime adaptation premiered in 1996, followed by the release of the first anime film in 1997.
