JUJUTSU KAISEN Phantom Parade Mobile Game Unveils Cursed Prison Island Arc with MAPPA Animation

The mobile game JUJUTSU KAISEN Phantom Parade is set to launch a new original story chapter titled the “Cursed Prison Island” arc in early 2026. A newly released video showcases the opening animation produced by MAPPA, accompanied by the theme song “Chained Chase” by Who-ya Extended.

The story is set in a unique prison built over a century ago to contain Curse Users. Under the current administration, however, some Jujutsu Sorcerers and individuals with Cursed Energy are being detained without cause, prompting Yuji Itadori and Kento Nanami to investigate. During their inquiry, they are attacked by a group of mysterious Cursed Corpses, which leaves Nanami unconscious and abducted, setting the stage for a daring rescue mission.

JUJUTSU KAISEN series quickly won the hearts of audiences with its blend of the supernatural and intense action. Originally premiering on October 3, 2020, the series will celebrate its milestone 5th anniversary on October 3 this year.

The first season of the JUJUTSU KAISEN TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021. Following the release of the first film, JUJUTSU KAISEN 0, on December 24, 2021, the second season covering the “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” arc aired from July to December 2023. On May 30, a compilation film of the “Hidden Inventory / Premature Death” arc premiered. From October 17th in Japan, a revival screening of “JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 Movie” will be released.
