Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, the first film in the new trilogy released on July 18, has attracted 21,102,792 moviegoers in its first 45 days, generating a box office revenue of ¥29,983,483,800.
Currently, the highest-grossing film at the Japanese domestic box office remains Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train (2020) with ¥40.75 billion, followed by Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away (2001) at ¥31.68 billion. With this performance, Infinity Castle has secured the third spot on the all-time domestic ranking.

The opening performance of Infinity Castle was nothing short of historic. The film earned 5.52 billion yen in just three days, setting three all-time records in Japan: the highest opening weekend gross, the biggest first-day earnings, and the strongest single-day box office performance.
The movie also passed the 10 billion yen mark in only 8 days (7,505,702 admissions, 10.51 billion yen in revenue), breaking the record for the fastest film in Japanese history to reach this milestone. Industry analysts now watch closely to see if it can challenge the all-time record of Mugen Train at 40.75 billion yen.
The highly anticipated film is now playing in Japan. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment have officially announced the international theatrical release dates for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle. The film will be available in Japanese with English subtitles and dubbed in English!

Tanjiro Kamado – a boy who joined an organization dedicated to hunting down demons called the Demon Slayer Corps after his younger sister Nezuko was turned into a demon.
While growing stronger and deepening his friendships and bonds with fellow corps members, Tanjiro has battled many demons with his comrades – Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira. Along the way, his journey has led him to fight alongside the Demon Slayer Corps’ highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashira, including Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku aboard the Mugen Train, Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui within the Entertainment District, as well as Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji at the Swordsmith Village.
As the Demon Slayer Corps members and Hashira engaged in a group strength training program, the Hashira Training, in preparation for the forthcoming battle against the demons, Muzan Kibutsuji appears at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. With the head of the Demon Corps in danger, Tanjiro and the Hashira rush to the headquarters but are plunged into a deep descent to a mysterious space by the hands of Muzan Kibutsuji.
The destination of where Tanjiro and Demon Slayer Corps have fallen is the demons’ stronghold – the Infinity Castle. And so, the battleground is set as the final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons ignites.
