The series is based on the original work by Li Haolin, who is also directing it. The music composers for the series include Sawano, Kohta Yamamoto, Kenmochi Hidefumi, DAIKI (AWSM.), Shuhei Mutsuki, Hideyuki Fukasawa, Misaki Umase, and Ryūichi Takada (monaca). Animation production is being handled by BeDream.
Crunchyroll streams both TO BE HERO and To Be Heroine, the two earlier series in the franchise. The platform describes the story as follows:
Everyone around Futaba expects her to grow up and become an adult, and she’s lost the ability to keep herself mentally balanced. At the bottom of her heart, her childish self is still there, and still strong.
