You and Idol Precure♪ Movie Drops Main Trailer Featuring Theme Song

The 34th Precure anime film.

The main trailer for the upcoming film You and Idol Precure♪ (“Eiga Kimi to Idol Precure♪ Omatase! Kimi ni Todokeru KirakkiLive!”) has been released ahead of its theatrical debut in Japan on September 12.

The trailer showcases the film’s theme song, “♪HiBiKi Au Uta♪”, performed by the five Precures: Cure Idol (voiced by Misato Matsuoka), Cure Wink (Minami Takahashi), Cure Kyun-Kyun (Natsumi Takamori), Cure Zukyoon (Yoshino Nanjo), and Cure Kiss (Miharu Hanai).

The Pretty Cure series, also known as Precure, began with its debut installment Futari wa Pretty Cure in February 2004. Its 21st and most recent installment, Wonderful Precure!, premiered on Crunchyroll in February 2024. The latest addition to the beloved magical girl franchise is You and Idol.

Crunchyroll describes the story as follows:

Middle school student Uta Sakura loves to sing any chance she gets. But music becomes more than a hobby when she meets Purirun, a fairy whose hometown has plunged into darkness. The Chokkiri Gang took over her land and began stealing her people’s sparkle. Determined to help, Uta is transformed into the legendary protector Cure Idol and vows to return their sparkle through song.
