The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 First Trailer & Theme Songs Revealed

Crunchyroll will stream the upcoming season.

The first promotional video for The Rising of the Shield Hero Season 4 has been released. The anime is scheduled to premiere in July 2025, with Crunchyroll confirming that it will stream the new season.

Continuing the musical legacy of the previous seasons, MADKID returns to perform the opening theme, titled “Resolution”, while Chiai Fujikawa will provide the ending theme, “Eternally Once”.

Based on the novel by Yusagi AnekoThe Rising of the Shield Hero Season 1 aired in 2019, Season 2 in 2022, and Season 3 in October 2023. Crunchyroll describes The Rising of the Shield Hero anime series:

Iwatani Naofumi, a run-of-the-mill otaku, finds a book in the library that summons him to another world. He is tasked with joining the sword, spear, and bow as one of the Four Cardinal Heroes and fighting the Waves of Catastrophe as the Shield Hero.

Excited by the prospect of a grand adventure, Naofumi sets off with his party. However, merely a few days later, he is betrayed and loses all his money, dignity, and respect. Unable to trust anyone anymore, he employs a slave named Raphtalia and takes on the Waves and the world.

But will he really find a way to overturn this desperate situation?
