Bandai Namco Filmworks and Legendary Entertainment have entered into a joint investment agreement for the live-action adaptation of the Mobile Suit Gundam series. Additionally, Bandai Namco Filmworks will establish a North American subsidiary, Bandai Namco Filmworks America, LLC, on April 1 to support the franchise’s international expansion.
The Hollywood live-action adaptation of GUNDAM was announced in 2018, with Legendary Pictures, a subsidiary of Legendary Entertainment, handling production.

The film is directed and written by Jim Mickle, best known for Sweet Tooth, and is set for a worldwide theatrical release.
Created by Yoshiyuki Tomino, the Mobile Suit Gundam series debuted with the 1979 TV anime, which is now available for streaming on Crunchyroll. The platform describes the series as follows:
