On July 15, it was announced that The Quintessential Quintuplets* (The Quintessential Quintuplets Specials 2) will follow Futaro and the quintuplets during their honeymoon. This special anime is set to be screened in Japanese theaters for a limited three-week engagement starting Friday, September 20th.

The previous adaptations of The Quintessential Quintuplets anime include two TV anime seasons released in 2019 and 2021, an anime movie in 2022, and a two-part TV anime special titled The Quintessential Quintuplets~ in 2023. These adaptations are based on Negi Haruba’s manga, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine starting in 2017 and concluded in 2020 with a total of 14 tankoubon volumes.
Kodansha USA describes the story as follows:
Five girls who want to do anything but study, and their tutor: a high school boy who’s got book smarts and not much else. Futaro Uesugi took the tutoring gig because he was desperate for cash, but when his students—the five beautiful daughters of a wealthy businessman—find five times the excuses to slack off, what can he do?! At this rate, the sisters won’t graduate, so if he wants to get paid, Futaro must think of a plan to suit each of them … Which feels hopeless when five out of five of them think he’s a loser!
