More information about a brand-new original film in the Sword Art Online franchise is set to be revealed in July. This new project was initially announced in November 2022.
The franchise first hit Japanese theaters on February 18, 2017, with Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale, an original story written by creator Reki Kawahara and set after Season 2.
