Yona of the Dawn Anime Sequel Officially Confirmed

10 years after season one!

It has officially been announced that a sequel to the anime Yona of the Dawn is currently in production. The original series aired between 2014 and 2015, making this new season a long-awaited return nearly ten years later.

The news was revealed in Hana to Yume No. 2 (published by Hakusensha), released today on the 19th, coinciding with the publication of the manga’s final chapter in the magazine.

Yona of the Dawn is a captivating TV anime series based on the manga written and illustrated by Mizuho Kusanagi. The anime adaptation aired for 24 episodes, running from October 2013 to March 2014. Crunchyroll, the popular streaming platform, offers all 24 episodes for viewers to enjoy:

Currently, Hiryuu Palace has no one else next in line for the throne other than the fifteen year old princess, Yona, who had been raised with care. Finally, the night of her sixteenth birthday arrives. She expects it to be a wonderful day spent with her peace-loving father, Il, her servant and friend Hak, and her cousin Soo-won, who she had feelings for… However… That night, Yona goes to visit her father to tell him how she really feels, because he opposes to her getting married to Soo-won. However, when she gets to her room, she encounters a shocking truth.
