Director Kohei Kadowaki’s animated feature film WE ARE ALIENS has been selected to screen at three more international film festivals: the Melbourne International Film Festival, the New Zealand International Film Festival, and the Ottawa International Animation Festival.
The film will be released in theaters across Japan on September 25.
Earlier this year, WE ARE ALIENS was also screened at the 79th Cannes Film Festival in May and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2026 in June, continuing its successful international festival run.
