We Are Aliens Anime Film Reveals Main Cast, Teaser Trailer & Visual

A collaboration between MIYU PRODUCTION and the creative studio NOTHING NEW.

The animated feature We Are Aliens, directed by Kohei Kadowaki, has announced its lead cast, with Ryota Bando and Amane Okayama taking on the main roles. Alongside this news, a teaser visual and a special preview video have also been released.

The film has also been selected for the Directors’ Fortnight section at the Cannes Film Festival, which will take place in Cannes, France, from May 12 to May 23.

We Are Aliens follows Tsubasa, a shy boy who struggles with feeling ordinary, and Gyotaro, a charismatic and admired classmate. Set in a rural town during the Heisei era, the story traces how the two become close friends. However, a sudden and irreversible event disrupts their everyday lives, profoundly altering their relationship.
