A special teaser trailer, visual and main cast has been released for the upcoming animated film To You in the Beyond. The anime film is set to premiere in theaters across Japan on October 9, 2026, with international release details yet to be announced. The film is adapted from the novel by Akiko Abe, which won the 22nd Honya Taisho Award.

STORY:
On the remote island of Tokishima, surrounded by lush nature, there is a place known as “the Cove of the Disappeared.”
Kazuki Tsukigase, a high school boy who has left the city for personal reasons, transfers to Tokishima High School. One early summer day, he discovers a girl collapsed in the cove. Her name is Nanao Aika. With no family to care for her, she is taken in by a man named Takatsu, who rescued her alongside Kazuki.
Curious about her, Kazuki begins visiting Nanao after school. Over time, the distance between them gradually closes, but one day, Nanao surprises him with an unexpected revelation.
Two people who were never meant to meet find each other, their everyday lives gradually filling with new emotions. After spending a summer together, they reach a bittersweet yet gentle future.
