A TV anime adaptation of Satsuki Nakamura’s novel Though I Am an Inept Villainess: Tale of the Butterfly-Rat Body Swap in the Maiden Court has been officially announced. Produced by Doga Kobo, the anime has unveiled a teaser visual along with a promotional video.

In the Kingdom of Ei, five clans put forth their maidens as imperial consorts—but only one will be crowned empress.
