The TV anime The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for The Throne is set to premiere in July. Alongside the announcement, a teaser visual and information about the cast and staff were also revealed.

The original The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for The Throne light novel began serialization on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in February 2019. Kadokawa Shoten publishes the print edition in Japan under the Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint, with 15 volumes released so far. The series is written by Tanba and illustrated by Yuunagi.
Kadokawa also publishes an English digital version of the light novel and provides a description of the story:
