Collaboration illustrations have been released for the TV anime THE GHOST IN THE SHELL and Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia.
Both anime are based on original works by Masamune Shirow and Tomato Soup, respectively, and are animated by Science SARU. Both series have been airing since July.
The collaboration illustrations were created by Abel Gongora, the director of Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia.

New episode visual have also been revealed for Episode 6 of THE GHOST IN THE SHELL, titled “DUMB BARTER”.
For each episode, different creators create posters inspired by the episode’s concepts and themes. The Episode 6 visuals were created by Mizuho Hayashi (maxilla).

Director Mokochan, known for serving as assistant director on the TV anime DAN DA DAN and contributing to Netflix’s Scott Pilgrim Takes Off as well as the acclaimed anime The Heike Story, takes the helm for the first time in their directorial debut.
Since Masamune Shirow published the original “Ghost in the Shell” comic in 1989 in “YOUNG MAGAZINE” (Kodansha), the series has continued to captivate and inspire audiences worldwide through various adaptations, including Mamoru Oshii‘s 1995 film “GHOST IN THE SHELL,” multiple anime series, and a Hollywood live-action film.
STORY:
The year is 2029. In near-future Japan, where the world has become highly information-intensive, with a vast corporate network covering the planet, electrons and light pulsing through it. But the nation-state and ethnic groups still survive.
Motoko Kusanagi, a full-body cyborg, leads an elite combat unit, including Batou. While commanding her team, Kusanagi envisions the creation of a specialized task force to preemptively strike against emerging threats. Meanwhile, Daisuke Aramaki of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who had been planning to establish a similar unit, recruited Kusanagi and her team.
Together, they begin operations as Public Security Section 9—an offensive tactical unit known as “Shell Squad.” As they confront complex cybercrimes and international conspiracies, the existence of a mysterious, unidentified hacker known as The “Puppet Master” emerges on the horizon of their investigation.
What fate awaits Kusanagi?
And what is the Puppet Master’s true objective?
A new era of cyberpunk action begins.
