The Dinner Table Detective Anime Set for April 4 Premiere

Drops first PV & reveals ending theme artist.

The TV anime The Dinner Table Detective is set to premiere on Fuji TV’s Noitamina slot on April 4 at 11:30 PM, with streaming on Prime Video in Japan starting April 5.

Alongside this announcement, the first promotional video has been released, revealing that the ending theme will be “Rhapsody”, a new song by the four-member band BILLY BOO.

The story initially served as the basis for a stage play, a live-action series released in 2011, special episodes aired in 2012 and 2013, and a live-action film in 2013. The novels were first published in 2007, followed by three volumes released by Shogakukan in 2010, 2011, and 2012.

The Dinner Table ​​Detective set in Kunitachi, Tokyo, the story follows Reiko Hôshô, the heiress of the prestigious Hôshô Group, as she takes on the role of a detective apprentice. Her mentor, Inspector Kazamatsuri, is the son of the owner of Kazamatsuri Motors, and together they tackle complex cases. Assisting Reiko is her sharp-tongued but brilliant chauffeur and butler, Kageyama, whose insights prove invaluable in solving her toughest challenges.
