The first PV and key visual for the TV anime “The Detective is Already Dead Season 2” have been released, along with the announcement of a 5th-anniversary celebration plan.
To commemorate the anime’s 5th anniversary in July, five special projects have been prepared: seasonal visuals and voice dramas, the launch of the anime’s official TikTok account, a theme song cover project, the creation of “Siesta ASMR”, and the release of a Nintendo Switch game. The first seasonal visual, a spring-themed illustration featuring Siesta, is now available. The voice drama, written by the original author Nigoju, will be released on April 10 on the KADOKAWA Anime Channel on YouTube.

On the anime’s official TikTok account, clips from the first season will be released gradually. In the theme song cover project, Siesta, voiced by Saki Miyashita, will cover the first season’s opening theme, while Nagisa Natsunagi, voiced by Ayana Taketatsu, will cover the ending theme. “Siesta ASMR” aims to provide a relaxing, dreamlike experience with Siesta and is currently in production. The Nintendo Switch game will be published by Taito Games. The new key visual has also been unveiled.

The first season of The Detective Is Already Dead aired from July to September 2021 and was adapted from the mystery light novel series written by Nigoju and illustrated by Umibozu.
